‘Passage to India’ will feature the release of Bageshree’s new video ‘Yoga,’ from the Tarana cd, which has received rave reviews. The cd is a breakthrough display of music for Indian dance, and the video features yoga postures and Kathak choreography. Featuring a special ‘squishy lens’ to artistically enhance the choreography, the video is directed by Erica Shallow, and the cinematography is by award-winning Arthur E. Cooper. Vaze’s first video ‘Deewana’ won Outstanding Canadian music video at the 2006 ReelWorld Film festival.

November 29, 2008, at 8:00 p.m. and on Nov. 30th at 2:00 p.m. at the Studio Theatre, Harbourfront Centre, as part of the 2008/09 Dance Works CoWorks Series.
The concert will feature the new works set to Tarana in the first half, and a traditional Kathak dance presentation accompanied by live music in the second half. “IN AKBAR’S PALACE” takes place Saturday, Nov. 29th at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 30th at 2:00 p.m. at the Studio Theatre, York Quay Centre, 235 Queens Quay West. Admission is $17 advance/students/seniors, and $20 at the door.
